[As much as he hates to, Regis snags that wandering hand with one of his own, pulling it around him instead of letting it continue along the path it was pursuing. He doesn't want to argue with Cor so soon, but he is sure the other man is not going to be very happy that this is where he is drawing the line no matter how uncomfortable it may leave him. That physical discomfort will pass in time. The feeling of betrayal he would have to deal with if they went further would not pass so easily.
Regis leans his head up a little so he can drop a line of kisses along Cor's jaw before answering the question that has been posed to him.
It at least, is a distraction from the impending unhappy discussion.]
How many people have gotten to see you lost in yourself like that? It was a beautiful sight and I am honored to have been able to witness it.
[Cor tilts his head, arching up into those soft kisses, sighing out a pleased little hum. It feels a bit like his limbs have all gone liquid and heavy. Something that means he's at least not going to argue with where Regis puts his hands just yet. He's still a little hazy, not quite tracking as quickly as he normally would be. More importantly here, with his King, it's safe for him to savor that feeling.]

[Even though he had done more for Will he had never let Will reciprocate, too paranoid to really let himself fall into it, nervous and uncertain. Things that didn't matter with Regis. Hadn't in decades and never would again.]
[Perhaps it is selfish of him, but Regis would like to keep Cor this content and hazy for as long as he can, especially after that heartfelt answer where he expected none.
Regis shifts only enough so that he can give the other side of Cor's jaw the same attention.]

[The trailing kisses earn another happy little sound, Cor's arm tightening around Regis to give him a gentle squeeze. It's about all he can think to do just now if his hands are staying where they are. Not that he won't argue more shortly but he can hardly concentrate on that.
Not when Regis' words are so achingly sweet, enough to put a faint wobble into Cor's breath, tipping his head so he can try, lazily, to catch his King's lips. No no, stop teasing and come here so he can kiss you properly, Regis. That is far too sweet and romantic for him to be able to come up with any remotely sufficient response, not when words all seem to float out of grasp so easily.]
[Fortunately, Regis isn't looking for an eloquent response to his words. The hug and the kiss Cor so desperately wishes for are more than enough. After all, it's not like he feels they are anything special, merely an inadequate, limited summary of the feelings that are inside of him.
At times like this, words never do quite capture all he wants to say, no matter how good others may think he is with them.
The kiss is slow, gentle, and loving. Actions work so much better than words sometimes.]
