The room beside Ignis' is still empty. The house is a bit more crowded with Will and the girls here but we always have room for you. I said as much when we moved and that hasn't changed.

[Preparing for change can be challenging. It's fine. Though there's an implication there that Cor is considering how best to approach when Ardyn speaks and Cor's breath catches.]

[Whether he accepts Cor's company or another's is up to him but Cor doesn't like the idea of him wallowing anymore than he wanted to see Will or Noctis wallowing.]

[There's a long moment of silence and when Cor responds the soft patter of rainfall is audible over the headset.]

[Cor honestly had no idea what to say, what he could do to ease the weight of loss for the redhead. But he also knew that sitting alone and moping wasn't going to help.

He's a little damp when he drops onto the couch beside Ardyn, the careful part he's been attempting to maintain with this ridiculous hair growth mussed by the wind outside. What is there to say? What could possibly make it better?

All he can really offer is a hand on his shoulder, a gentle squeeze, an offer of solidarity. ]

[For whatever it was worth, he managed the usual tired smile as the flower vanished in a flash of scarlet and crystal.]

Cor snorts, a little stifled huff of amusement.]

[Ardyn leans into him and Cor shifts slightly, just enough to put an arm around the other man, making sure he's comfortable. He goes quiet for a long moment, just enjoying the company, even if the reason is yet more tragedy.]

[Actually Cor, you probably did half a dozen times but were so sleep deprived you don't remember it.]

For looking after Regis for me.

You've no need to thank me. Regis was immeasurably kind to me upon my arrival, I was doing no more than repaying the favor.

[Cor sighs a little, rolls his eyes.]

I still marvel at how much these family traits of selfless sacrifice and humbleness have persisted through the ages.

So Cor just shakes his head again, heaving a put upon sigh that makes it infinitely clear that he disagrees but he isn't going to actively argue the point. He's just going to squeeze the redhead gently.]
